Marine also arrested Thursday on warrant for desertion Bossier City police were forced to shoot and kill a pit bull Friday as officers served an arrest warrant at a house in the 400 block of Kelly Street. Officers went to the residence after receiving information that 20-year-old Larry Darnell Caldwell of Shreveport was there. Bossier City fireman allegedly told ex-wife he would kill twins after domestic dispute A Bossier City firefighter was arrested Thursday evening for terrorizing, cyber stalking, improper telephone communication and a warrant out of Webster Parish for domestic abuse battery. According to the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, David Allen Desadier, 39, who has been living in the Lakewood subdivision of Bossier City but has a listed address in Doyline, was taken into custody in Shreveport by the Shreveport Police Department and the Bossier Sheriff’s Department. Mardi Gras in Shreveport-Bossier is big business. Annually, the festive celebrations bring in some 400,000 people over the course of the two major parade weekends. The latest research conducted showed that the effect of Mardi Gras is significant. According to The Economic Impact of the 2007 Centaur and Gemini Mardi Gras Parades, the parades economic impact in direct revenue is $17 million. Community living program launched in Bossier Parish |

The Bossier Parish Council on Aging is offering the federally-funded Community Living Program in partnership with the Northwest Louisiana Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) to assist individuals who are at risk of nursing home placement stay independent, announced the Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs Director Dr. Jay Bulot.
