I can remember a hospital visit I made several years ago. I saw a six-week-old baby on life support. That little boy was totally dependent on a machine to stay alive. That little boy was helpless to help himself. In Mark, chapter 5, verses 25-34, was introduced to a woman who was helpless to help herself. I read the other day about two-year-old Max. He was securely buckled in his seat in Grandpa’s pickup truck. He was waiting for Dad and Grandpa to stop talking so he could go for a ride. The Lord Jesus Christ came into the world and planted the seed. He ascended into heaven, but the seed continued to grow. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are to continue to plant the seed. I remember when my wife decided to have a piece of our furniture restored. It was a hope chest, of sorts, and it had been given to her by her mother. It was scratched and ugly. One of the legs wasn't permanently attached, so every time we moved it, we had to slide the leg back up under it.
