Do you remember Burma Shave signs? Frank Rowsome, Jr., wrote a book entitled “The Verse by the Side of the Road” which recalls the signs of my childhood, as I remember reading Burma Shave signs such as: HE PLAYED / A SAX / HAD NO B.O. / BUT HIS WHISKERS SCRATCHED / SO SHE LET HIM GO or maybe the sign said: THE ANSWER TO / A MAIDEN’S PRAYER/ IS NOT A CHIN / OF STUBBY HAIR.
