My husband and I just returned from a family reunion which took place on a small island off the coast of beautiful British Columbia. Everywhere one is treated to views of the ocean, a rugged coastline, tall pine forests, slopping meadows, flowers and foliage of multiple colors, and various types of wildlife. Contemplating such beauty draws one nearer to the Creator who, in love, provided such a feast for the eyes. It’s amazing that after so many years of sin on this planet there still exists such an array of loveliness. We can, through prayerful study of nature, become better acquainted with our Maker. We are told “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork” Psalm 19:1. |

Have you ever considered the employment of unfallen heavenly angels? The Word says of them, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Hebrews 1:14. Think about this. They are perfect beings who come here to work in ministry to us, a bunch of imperfect, too often ungrateful people! Such unselfishness! |

It happened this way. I placed a bag of potting soil in a container into which I planted basil seeds. I was thrilled when four days later I observed the tiny leaves pushing up through the soil. Within a few days they had reached not quite an inch in height, but there they remained with no further growth. I was no longer thrilled. Growth was expected. |
