Results from Tuesday’s Minden Recreation Departments little league football games.
Second to fourth-grade division: The Cooper Tire Cobras defeated Gibsland Bank, 12-0. Devarrion Elkins led the Cobras with 63 yards rushing and Adrian Flournoy added 45 yards and a touchdown. Austin Wall ran for 23 yards and Chadrick Pickrom had four yards and a score.
Ventarvious Williams and Justin Cox were the leading tacklers for the Cobras.
TyChristopher Harris ran for 85 yards to lead Gibsland Bank. Keith Smith and Harris led the team in tackles.
Fifth & Sixth-grade division:
The Mohawks shut out Minden Country Chevrolet, 33-0.
Damien Shine ran for 223 yards and a touchdown to lead the Mohawks. Chester Kimmons scored twice and had 129 yards rushing. Jacob Thornhill added a touchdown.
La”Davion Combs led the team in tackles.
Davien Moore ran for 63 yards to lead Minden Country Chevrolet. Jamarion Teal had 24 yards and Devondrick Harrison added 21. Jamarion Teal led the team in tackles.
