The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office recently arrested four individuals, in separate cases, on charges that include Medicaid fraud, cruelty to the infirm, simple battery and false statements concerning employment in a nursing or health care facility.
On Oct. 17, Kimberly Latrice Franklin, 830 Carolina Street, Minden, Louisiana, surrendered to Medicaid Fraud Control Unit Investigators on one count of simple battery of the infirm.
She was booked into Bossier Parish Meximum Security Jail.
Franklin, a former employee of Pilgrim Manor in Bossier City, allegedly struck a resident.
On Oct. 23, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit Investigators arrested Connie Causey, 5600 New England Drive, New Orleans, Louisiana on one count of False Statements Concerning Employment in a Nursing or Health Care Facility. Causey, a former certified nurse’s assistant employed at Bayside Healthcare Center, allegedly falsified her employment application regarding a prior criminal history.
On Oct. 17, Dorothy Mae Gailes, 23760 Bourgouyne Street, Plaquemine, Louisiana, surrendered to Medicaid Fraud Control Unit Investigators on one count of cruelty to the infirm. She was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. Gailes, a former employee of Flannery Oaks Guest House, allegedly struck a resident of Flannery Oaks Guest House.
Charles A. Branch, 605 Anna Circle, Jonesville, Louisiana, surrendered to Medicaid Fraud Control Unit Investigators on Oct. 21. He was arrested on two counts of Medicaid fraud. Branch was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Branch, a former employee of Jonesville Family Counseling, allegedly caused false claims to be submitted to the Louisiana Medicaid Program for mental health services that were not provided.
