Cole Hesson pitched a six-inning three-hitter and struck out 13 batters as the Airline Dixie Pre-Majors 17-under baseball team scored an 8-2 victory over the Benton Braves at Airline Monday.

At Parkway, Carson Baranik struck out 13 batters and allowed no hits in five innings of relief pitching as the Bossier Red Sox and Springhill battled to an 8-8 tie.

 

Hesson and Taylor Stagg both hit home runs for Airline.

Silas Jennings, Tony Fulco and Jeremiah Beeson pitched for Benton, with Jennings pitching the first four innings. He allowed two hits and two walks, and struck out eight batters. He received the loss.

Fulco allowed no hits and no walks in one inning. Beeson allowed two hits, two walks and two runs in one inning.

Fulco, Jennings and B.J. McDill had one hit apiece for the Braves. Benton plays host to Lakeside tonight at 6 p.m.

Lee Creel pitched the first three innings for the Red Sox Monday, allowing one hit and three walks. He struck out three batters.

At the plate, Chance Sepulvado was two-for-three and Jake Hooker was two-for-four for the Red Sox. Garrett Brobst hit a two-run single. Creel and Dylan Williams also had hits for the Red Sox, who play Bossier tonight at 6 and 8.
