Thursday night the District VI Pitching Machine All-Star Tournament began play at the Minden Recreation Complex. Games will continue and run through Sunday. Pool play will continue today and Saturday morning, with tournament games beginning Saturday afternoon and running through Sunday.
The championship game will be at 5:45 p.m. Nola Americans 16, Minden Continentals 15 Gage Burnham and Will Foster both had two hits to lead Nola. Jay Ruggs, Sergio Hardwell, Key Roberson, Tristian Rowell, Ben Colvin and Rodney Larry all added singles. Johnny Law Flournoy, Rodney Johnson, Hunter Wilkes and Daniel Miller all had two hits to lead Minden. Trevor McLean, Austin King and Jeffrey Melton all had doubles and Wesley Dennis and Chance Frizzell added singles. Nola Nationals 22, Minden Nationals 7 Cullen Duplantis, Gunner Maxwell and Cameron Carraway all had three hits to lead Nola. Ty Lindsey tripled and Wyatt Fain, Sam Medisette, Brett Volmer and Sam Plants all had a double and a single. Dillon Holden and Eric Alford added singles. Caleb Lane singled twice. Mason Sparks and Garrett Hall both singled and doubled to lead Minden. Jamerea Lewis, Ziyon Crawford, Jake Kingrey, Will Martin and Barron Bailey all singled. Bossier City 28, Minden Nationals 1 Garrett Huble and Bryson Cornell both had two hits to lead Bossier. Noah Blair and Caleb Reese both tripled and Cole Horton, Turner Toms, Peyton Lewis, Harrison Tauzin, Amani Larry and Eric Brown all had doubles. Tyler Hilton and Darrious Bradford added singles. Mason Sparks singled twice to lead Minden. Garrett Hall, Slaid Gorman, Jake Kingery and Jamerea Lewis all singled. Springhill 26, Nola Nationals 25 Akeli Ford singled four times to lead Springhill. D.J. Klick, Zavier Cooper and Cameron Tyson all had three hits. Josh Burris, Justin Gillis, Dean Morgan, Tyrell Markray and Martavious Morris all had two hits and Peyton Haehn, Jordan Holland and Drew Thebeau added singles. Ty Lindsey had two singles and two doubles to lead Nola. Tyler Davis and Wyatt Fain both had three hits and Brett Vollmer, Sam Plants and Caleb lane all had two hits. Kason Green and Bryson Worley both had two hits and Kyelsi Coburn, Lake Lowery, Nick Heckman and Jerry Lee Brandon added base hits. Hayden Ginn led ruston with two doubles and a single. Brennan Hall singled and doubled and Gabe Pyles doubled. Luke Higginbotham, Garrett Madded and Alex Harris all singled. Ethan Patton doubled and Jett King singled. Shreveport nationals 13, Union Parish 5 Kody Feibell had two doubles and a homer and Chistopher Robinson doubled and homered to lead Shreveport. Cade Hart, Blake Sharpen, Trase Adamson and Ryan Embry all had two hits. Ashton Nelson and Kaleb Dean both doubled. Brennen Taunton singled and tripled and Henry Terral tripled to lead Union Parish. Brooks Auger had two hits and Luke Tassin, Dawson Adams and Hagan Hollis added base hits. Shreveport Americans 17, Vivian 7 Fox Locke, Cameron Meeks, Joseph Lattier, Dylan Hagedorn and Ethan Patton all had two hits to lead Shreveport. Austin Gentry, Cody Deene, Jett King, Deven Melancon and Hayden Strealy all singled. Blakely Welch and Kaleb Watts both had two hits to lead Vivian.
