Funeral services for Lula Mae Williams will be held today, June 29, 2009, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. John Cannon. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden.

Family received friends Sunday, June 28, 2009, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Lula was born Dec. 22, 1914, in Letona, Ark. and entered into rest June 26, 2009 in Minden.

Her husband of 71 years H. G. (Cy) Williams; sisters Jeanette Hicks, Geneva Headstream preceded her in death. Lula was a member of First United Methodist Church for 61 years, Gold Star Sunday school class, Minden Study Club, Book Club and P.E.O.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Williams Brewer and husband Mike of Collierville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Misty Brewer Powell and husband Brent and John Brewer, Jr. and wife Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Grace, Cy, Lydia Mae, Alice and Amelia Powell, Beau Brewer and Hannah Brewer.

Pallbearers will be Mike Brewer, John Brewer, Bob Terry, Brent Powell, Scott Hicks and Bill Barkas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Roberts, Roy Sullivan, Digger O’Dell, and Luther Moore.-
