Funeral Services for Mrs. Addie Beatrice Moore will be held Monday, July 27, 11 a.m. at the Fourteenth District Building with the Rev. E. J. Barnes, officiating. Interment will follow at the Moore Cemetery in Heflin.

Addie Beatrice Redden Moore was born May 19, 1907, in Heflin, to the late Felix and Rosie Redden.

She was the oldest child of eight children. Five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Sister Addie Beatrice Moore passed into the great beyond, Friday morning, July 17, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Dorothy.

Addie B. married the late Guy Moore and to this union two children were born, Roosevelt Moore and Dorothy Moore Williams Henderson.

She confessed Christ at an early age at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Heflin. She moved her membership to Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Heflin.  Her husband’s job called him to Cullen, and she joined the First Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Rev. A. W. Grant, where she got a joy out of working on the Usher Board.  Later years, she moved to Minden, and united with the Mt. Calm Baptist Church in Minden.

She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Dorothy Moore Williams Henderson (Allen) of Minden; one son, Roosevelt Moore of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Jacob Coleman (Margaret) of Cullen; grandchildren, Ronnie Poland (Diania) of Kissimee, Fla. and Kenneth Williams (Gladys) of Heflin; Victor Williams (Tammie) of Dallas, Roderick Williams (Yolanda) of Dallas, Tonetta White (Allan) of Wesnterly, R.I., Michael Henderson (Tammy) of Jackson, Miss., and Sharon Blair of Minden; 11 great- grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

Services are entrusted to Kennon’s Mortuary of Minden.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 26 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Kennon’s Mortuary with Family Hour from 6 until 7 p.m.
