Graveside services for Mrs. Mildred Taylor Carr, 88, will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Rocky Mount Cemetery, Plain Dealing, with the Rev. Don Tyson officiating.  Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill.

Mrs. Carr was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Springhill, to John and Ruth Brown Taylor and passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009, in Homer. 

She was a lifelong resident of this area and a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Zelphia Sayers and husband, Billy of Sarepta and Linda Fleming and husband, Grayson of Prairieville; brother, Huey Taylor of Mooringsport; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Carr was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rupert C. Carr; two brothers, Paul and Tommy; and a sister, Sybil.
