The Webster Parish branch of Quality Deer Management (QDMA) is hosting the second annual QDMA REACH banquet Tuesday, August 18 at the Woods Convention Center on Miller Street beginning at 6 p.m.

This year’s event will feature a live auction with many one-of-a-kind wildlife collectibles, art, hunting trips and equipment, guns and more.

According to coordinator Mitzi Thomas, there will also be several games, as well as a raffle taking place during the evening.

“The goal of the Webster Parish branch is to provide information to manage quality deer herds,” Thomas said.

“Thirty percent of the money raised at this banquet will be used to promote local youth outdoor activities working closely with the state Department of Wildlife & Fisheries.”

Listed are the QDMA Banquet benefits. All include one raffle ticket package ($160 in regular raffle and $40 in gun raffle.)

12 Point Corporate Table Benefits – $600 includes:
• Eight banquet meal tickets;
• One sponsor couples membership; three regular couples memberships;
• Corporation name in program, on table and announced from podium

10 Point Membership Table Benefits – $500 includes:
• Eight banquet meal tickets;
• Eight regular memberships;
• Corporation name in program, on table and announced from podium

8 Point Sponsor Member Benefits – $250 includes:
• Two banquet meal tickets;
• QDMA sponsor memberships;
• Name in program and announced from program

Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at Minden Farm and Garden LLC. Cost is $50 single or $65 per couple, which includes the one-year membership in QDMA.

This is a non-profit corporation and donations are tax deductible, Thomas said. Checks may be made payable to Webster Parish Branch of QDMA and sent in care of Thomas at Minden Farm and Garden LLC, 1307 Sibley Road, Minden. For more information, call 371-0010.
