Funeral services for Lessie L. Davis will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Ramsey and the Rev. Troy Wooten. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley.

Family will receive friends today, July 29, 2009, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath.

Lessie was born Sept. 22, 1925, in Liberty Hill and entered into rest July 27, 2009, in Minden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmit Davis; sister, Essie Coody; and Sandra Michelle infant granddaughter.

She is survived by sons; Donald Davis and wife Pat of Crosby, Texas, Bobby Davis and wife Teresa of Dubberly, Richard Davis and wife Kay of Sibley, Billy Davis and wife Charlotte of Shreveport and Tommy Davis of Sibley; sisters, Iva Freeman and husband Raymond of Jonesboro, Ernestine Butler and husband Thomas of Shreveport; brothers, G. A. Davis and wife Mary Nell of Jamestown, Robert Davis and wife Delores of Saline; grandchildren, Bobby Wade, Wesley, James, Mike, Bo, Donna Len, Stephanie, Peanut, Clayton and Tonya; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Wade Davis, Wesley Davis, James Davis, Mike Davis, Bo Davis, Peanut Davis and Clayton Davis.

The family expresses their appreciation to Dr. Scott Phillips and the ICU staff at Minden Medical for the care given to their love one.

She will be remembered and missed.
