BENTON — Mike Durham poured in 27 points Thursday night as Benton’s Tigers rolled to a 79-73 basketball victory over the Class 5A Byrd Yellow Jackets.

Durham was one of three Benton seniors who scored in double figures.

Steven Vinson, who will also be playing football for the Tigers in tonight’s playoff game at Cecelia, added 20 points and Kendall White added 14 points.

Another Tiger senior, Brandon Bryant, scored 14 points.

Monday night, Benton will play host to another Class 5A opponent, Airline, with the boys’ game following a 6 p.m. girls- game.
