Cope’s seventh graders and Greenacres’ eighth graders finished Bossier Parish Middle School League girls’ basketball play with perfect records Thursday.

The only thing left on the schedule will be the Lady Cougars Invitational Tournament at Cope after the Thanksgiving holiday break.

Cope’s seventh graders are 14-0 overall and 10-0 in league play after a 70-17 victory over Rusheon.

The Lady Cougars led 38-6 at halftime.

Kierra Sims led Cope with 21 points, followed by Shanequa Harvey with 12. Kenyoua Davis had 10 for Rusheon.
The Cope eighth graders took an 18-6 halftime lead en route to a 38-18 win over Rusheon.

Abigail Hagerhjelm scored 13 points and Deniera McGlothan tossed in 10 for Cope. Keonna Sinnie had eight points and Tiffany Lynn six for Rusheon.

Greenacres’ eighth graders took a 14-9 lead into the halftime intermission and went on to complete their second straight unbeaten season in league play with a 31-21 victory over Haughton.

Madison Raque and Jessica Vandergriff scored 10 points apiece for Greenacres, as the same group posted a perfect record as seventh graders last year.

Mikayla Barber led Haughton with nine points.

In the seventh grade game, Ja’Erika Carr’s free throw tied the score at 19-19 in the final seconds of regulation play and Madison Rowland did all the scoring in overtime as Greenacres beat Haughton 24-19.

Rowland, who led all scorers with 11 points, had a three-point basket and two free throws in the overtime period.
Kylee Hill and Kierra Fields scored four points apiece for Greenacres.

T. Delaney and Shaniya Spivey led Haughton with eight and seven points, respectively.
