Heather Elizabeth Stephens of Minden and Adam Broussard of Mandeville were united in marriage on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at five-thirty in the evening in a beachfront ceremony in Pensacola Beach, Florida. The bride is the daughter of Lisa Moore of Willis, Texas and James Stephens of Minden. She is the granddaughter of Mazie Stephens and the late J.B. Stephens of Minden and Mary Ellen Dickerson of Haughton.
The groom is the son of Robert and Joyce Broussard of Mandeville. He is the grandson of late Arthur and Leah Wortmann of New Orleans and Eula Mae and the late Hector Broussard of Lake Charles. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Tammy from Wedding 2 Remember. The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. The bride wore a Galina wedding dress perfect for the barefoot beachside ceremony. The gown, made of chiffon, had an empire waist, pleated bust with a lace-up back. A simple, one-tier, u-shaped tulle veil completed the look. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of tropical colored Gerber daisies, roses, orchids and lilies. A reception was held at a nearby beach house with music provided by DJ David Taylor. The Chefs At Your Door catering provided catering. Neil Photography did photography. Heather is a graduate of Minden High School. She graduated in 2004 from LSU-S with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Human Services Administration at LSU-S. Adam is a graduate of Mandeville High School. He graduated in 2002 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He is a member of Lambda Chi Fraternity. The couple honeymooned on a Mediterranean Cruise to Spain, Malta, Italy and France. The couple now resides in Bossier City.
