Tragedy struck Tuesday as a young Plain Dealing boy was killed in a pasture near his home. Six-year-old Trystan Marcus St. Andry, of the 9000 block of Highway 3, was found unconscious in a pasture neighboring his home by his mother around 3:30 p.m. Bossier Sheriff's Detectives determined that St. Andry slipped out of his house without his parents knowledge and was able to sneak into the pasture. The boy had a hoof print on his chest when he was located about 20 minutes after leaving the home.
His mother performed CPR and until medical attention arrived. St. Andry was transported to Willis-Knighton Bossier and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Detectives believe St. Andry was kicked or stomped by a horse. "Based on everything we know, pending further investigation, it appears to be a tragic accident," said Ed Baswell, Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office public information officer. The official cause of death will be determined by the Bossier Parish Coroner. Views: 1669
