Beginning this week, City of Minden utility crews began repairing storm damage to utility lines from Drake Drive north. “The crews were able to get the power up and running following the recent storms, but now will be making necessary permanent repairs to the lines,” said Gary Moreland, Power Transmission and Distribution Manager for the City of Minden.
According to Moreland, the crews will be working in the easements and back yards between Eames and Hinton, including Woodard, Deer Creek, Hickory and in the Drake Drive area and all points north to Pine Forest. Residents in this area can expect short interruptions in power while the work is being completed, which could take up to 30 days for all the improvements to be 100 percent complete, weather permitting. “Residents can expect some inconvenience during the repair process,” said Mayor Bill Robertson, “but these repairs will offer the residents of the area more reliable power in the future.” Views: 710
