A light dusting of snow was noted by mid-day today in the area, according to the National Weather Service.

A front, which began in east Texas and spread through northern Louisiana left behind a 30 percent chance of snow before noon. Less than a half inch of snow accumulation was possible mostly on high grassy areas
Tonight’s forecast shows partly cloudy, with a low around 22. North wind around 5 mph.

The weather will show a slight reprieve Tuesday with sunshine and a high near 42.

Tuesday night, it will remain mostly clear, with a low around 24.

A chance of some nasty weather returns Wednesday before an arctic front with a 20 percent chance of rain after noon.
More rain is expected before midnight, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a low around 30. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Thursday, the snow may return at a 40 percent chance, mainly before noon.

Chance of the white stuff continues through the evening, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday show clearing with sunshine and cold temperatures. Highs in the high 20s and lows in the teens.
