A light dusting of snow was noted by mid-day today in the area, according to the National Weather Service. A front, which began in east Texas and spread through northern Louisiana left behind a 30 percent chance of snow before noon. Less than a half inch of snow accumulation was possible mostly on high grassy areas Tonight’s forecast shows partly cloudy, with a low around 22. North wind around 5 mph.
The weather will show a slight reprieve Tuesday with sunshine and a high near 42. North wind around 5 mph. Tuesday night, it will remain mostly clear, with a low around 24. A chance of some nasty weather returns Wednesday before an arctic front with a 20 percent chance of rain after noon. More rain is expected before midnight, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a low around 30. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. Thursday, the snow may return at a 40 percent chance, mainly before noon.
