Memorial services for Elizabeth Chapman Lowe were to be held Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. John Cannon. Family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2010, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.                                          

Mrs. Lowe was born June 21, 1926, in Cairo, Ill. and entered into rest Jan. 15, 2010, in Minden.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Mark Alan Lowe, Jr., and sisters, Virginia Parker and Ruth Rushing.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Judge Cecil Cherry Lowe of Minden; sons, John Paul Lowe and his wife, Vicki Prather Lowe of Shreveport, Mark Alan Lowe, Sr. and his wife, Rebecca of Lafayette; daughter, Susan Elizabeth Lowe of Houston, Texas; sisters, Willie Odelle Looney of Lake Charles, Pauline Gee Gideons of Alvin, Texas; and granddaughters, Jessica Lynn LeMaistre and her husband, Court McLeod LeMaistre, Mary Carmella Lowe, and Sarah Virginia Lowe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Williamson, James Madden, Skeeter Davis, Russell Adams, Phillip McInnis, and Alan Lee.
