Inez Almond Miller went to be with the Lord on Feb. 2, 2010. She was a lifelong resident of Minden and Springhill and graduated from Minden High School. She was born in Minden on Dec. 6, 1915. Inez was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Frank H. Miller; her mother and father, Henry and Vernie Almond; three sisters, Vera Miller and husband Leroy, Lucille Harris and husband Glynn and Lona Mitchell and husband Dennis; two brothers, Lester Almond and wife Ruby Faye and Louie Almond. She will be remembered most notably for her dedication and passion to Central Baptist Church in Springhill, having served as a member of the Women’s Missionary Union, sang in the church choir for fifty years and was the church receptionist and recording secretary for forty-one years. Inez is survived by her devoted son, Herbert Lynn Miller and wife Charlene of Taylor Lake Village, Texas; grandson, David Miller and wife Paula of Woodlands, Texas; granddaughter, Dana Pierson and husband Tom of Sugarland, Texas; five precious great-grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren, and Kristen Pierson and Katie Lynn and Ellis Miller. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation was to be held at Central Baptist Church in Springhill today, Feb. 8, 2010, from 9 until 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Central Baptist Church, 504 West Church Street in Springhill at 10 a.m. with Brother David Harrell officiating followed by burial in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery at 1527 Lewisville Road in Minden. Pallbearers will be David Sawyer, William Sale, Horace Millican, Mike Miller, Phillip Miller and Keith Benit.
