Funeral services for Janice Rose Shaffer Greer of Minden will be held Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the First United Pentecostal Church in Minden with the Rev. Jeff Ramsey, the Rev. Troy Wooten, the Rev. W. C. (Corky) Puckett and the Rev. Gerald Trammel officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden.

Family will receive friends today, Feb. 8, 2010, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Janice was born Aug. 16, 1949, and passed from this life Feb. 6, 2010, in Bossier City.

She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church and was employed with the Webster Parish School Board for 20-plus years. Janice touched many lives and was loved by all who knew her.

Her infant son, C.W. Greer, III; mother-in-law, Lucille Hughes; father-in-law, C.W. Greer, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Tommy Owens and Doug Hall; and sister-in-law, Louise McFerren preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, C.W. Greer, Jr.; son, Todd Greer and wife Patricia; daughter, Robyn Rhoads and husband Ronnie; parents, Francis and Helen Shaffer of Gibsland; brothers, Jerry Shaffer and wife Charlotte, Rodney Shaffer and wife Mary and Randy Shaffer and wife Cathy; sisters, Joyce Puckett and husband Corky and Winnie Hall; grandchildren, Madeleine, Tori and Kassie Greer, Logan and Landon Rhoads; sisters-in-law, Liz Bays and friend Tommy Lord and Jeanette Owens; many nieces and nephews; one special life-long friend, Judy Perry Southern and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Eric Veuleman, Shayne Shaffer, Rusty Puckett, Phillip Puckett, Mike Puckett, Denny Shaffer, Dustin Shaffer, Jimmy Hall and Tony Hall.
