VIVIAN — The Lakeside Warriors dropped into third place in the District 1-2A race after a 66-58 loss to North Caddo on Friday night. Technically the Warriors are tied for second place with the Rebels, but North Caddo owns the tie-breaker over Lakeside.
“We led by six at the half,” Warriors head coach Jason Gould said. “And we wanted to come out fast in the third quarter. But for the second game in a row, we came out after halftime and didn’t do a good job.” North Caddo out-scored Lakeside 19-8 in the third quarter and went on to take the eight point lead. “We allowed them to make a comeback,” Gould said. “And they made some big free throws at the end. We just dug ourselves a hole in the third quarter. We’ll just have to make better adjustments.” T.J. Carpenter and Akeem Johnson each scored 17 points. Johnson added 13 rebounds and Armon Wallace dropped in 14 points. Lakeside will host Evangel on Tuesday. Views: 230
