Bossier City police are looking for the lone suspect who robbed the Citizens National Bank in the 1900 block of Citizens Bank Drive Tuesday morning.

Witnesses tell police the suspect was armed with a handgun and wearing a ski mask over his head and face when he walked into the bank around 9:30 a.m.  He then approached a teller and demanded money before leaving the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.

Officers arrived on the scene within minutes after receiving the call and immediately began searching the area west of the bank where the suspect was seen headed on foot. Bossier City police K-9’s along with K-9 units from the Bossier Sheriff’s Office and Caddo Sheriff’s Office assisted in looking for the suspect along the Red River levee just west of the bank. Police did locate an article of clothing and other items believed to belong to the suspect in the area, however officers were unable to find the suspect despite an extensive search.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 165 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black tank top shirt, a blue jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information that can help police identify or locate this suspect is asked to call detectives at (318) 741-8626 or Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100.
