Funeral services for Cleva Miller will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Ramsey. Interment will follow at Brushwood Cemetery, Dubberly.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today.

Mr. Miller was born Aug. 7, 1936 to Duncan and Lucille Miller. He passed away July 25, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Miller was the owner of Miller Roofing from 1968 until he retired in 2002. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and his family. He will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered.

His parents, Duncan and Lucille Miller; brothers, Curtis and Duncan, Jr.; and sister, Alma preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gaye Smith Miller; sons, Terry (Kim) of Minden, Randy (Stacey) of Chanute, Kansas, Mark (Sonya) of Minden; daughter, Vicky (Brian) Odom of Evergreen Community; grandchildren, Russell Miller, Brandon Baldwin, April Baldwin, (Josh), Lori  (Lucas) Hendrickson, Amanda Miller, Cash Miller, Magan and Chelsie Brinson, Bill, Brian Keith, and Katelyn Odom, Leeya and Gabriel Hohmann and Nathan Holland; four great-grandsons, Jaden, Evan, Caleb, and Silas; and soon to be his first great-granddaughter Lydea. He is also survived by his brothers, Billy (Sue) Miller, Willie (Debbie) Miller; sisters, Eunice (Sonny) Arinder all of Dubberly and Helen (John) Swilley of Minden; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Russell Miller, Josh Tanner, Tony Miller, Willie Miller, Jr., Scotty Miller and Casey Calender.

The family would like to thank Dr. Manish Dwahan and staff of Oncology Associates and Dr. William Haynie of Cardiology Associates, Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital for all their care and support. The family would also like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support during our time of sorrow.

Daddy, you were that special person who brought so much joy to me, who in many ways made my life the best that it could be. I feel fortunate to have known you and I think everyone should know too. When I think of our precious memories, please know I love and I am thinking of you.
