Dr. Amanda Williams, an obstetrician/gynecologist, has joined the medical staff of Minden Medical Center and The Women’s Clinic of Minden.

Reared in nearby Dubberly and a graduate of Sibley High, Dr. Williams is well aware of the special appeal living and raising a family in the idyllic environment of a caring community holds.

Dr. Williams earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemical sciences at LSU in Shreveport. She received her Medical Doctorate Degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and completed her obstetrics and gynecology Internship & Residency at LSU – HSC as well.

“In addition to the excellent training and experience that Amanda brings, we are delighted by the strong family ties that she has to Webster Parish,” said George E. French, III, CEO of Minden Medical Center. “We expect that she will be a member of the local medical community for years to come.”

Dr. Williams and her husband Steven, have two boys: Grayson and Connor with baby number three on the way.
Dr. Williams enjoys family time, reading, cooking, attending church and LSU football.

“Family in Dubberly and living and working in this community were deciding factors to move here,” Williams said. “I have always felt an inner call and desire to provide health care to people in need. I have a strong interest in educating my patients beginning early on and building relationships with them that last. Girls and women – from puberty through all ages and stages of life – will always leave my office with the information, knowledge, care and attention they deserve. From clinic to delivery room to operating room, I hope to be a part of their care for a lifetime.”

Dr. Stephen Coleman said he and his collegues are pleased to welcome Williams to The Women’s Clinic and the community.

“Her talents are in great demand and I, along with Dr. Robert Russell, look forward to growing our ob/gyn practice with her addition,” Stephens said

Dr. Williams is now accepting new patients. Her office is located in The Women’s Clinic at 431 Homer Road in Minden and at 307 North Monroe in Ruston.

Appointments can be made by calling The Women’s Clinic at 377-8855.

The Women’s Clinic provides a full range of obstetrical and gynecologic services to residents of Webster Parish and surrounding communities.

Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
