Graveside services for Mrs. Martile Beene Farrington, 80, will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 10 a.m. in Salem Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Lott officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill.

Visitation will begin Friday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bailey Mortuary, Springhill.

Mrs. Farrington was born Dec. 17, 1929 in Minden, to William Corbin and Willie Mae Bolin Beene and passed away suddenly Thursday, July 29, 2010 in Springhill.

She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by sons, Charles Ray Farrington of Springhill, Jerry Savell and wife, Brenda of New Orleans; granddaughter, Tina; great-grandchildren, Sara, Christian; sisters, Mildred Hines and husband, Robert of Springhill, Parnell Brunner of Birmingham, Alabama, Audrey Brock of Horseshoe Bead, Arkansas; brother, William Beene of Springhill; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Farrington was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford Charles Farrington, Sept. 22, 2004.
