Early voting for the July 21 election will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. , Monday, July 9 through Saturday, July 14 at the Webster Parish Registrar of Voter’s office in the courthouse.
Early voting will also be held in Springhill from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday, July 9, and Tuesday, July 10, at Springhill City Court.
On the ballot are two tax millage renewal propositions for the Webster Parish School District. For more information, contact the Registrar of Voters at 377-9272 or visit the Secretary of State Web site at www.sec.state.la.us.
In other election news, the Press-Herald continues to accept campaign announcements for the October 20 election.
Local offices on the ballot include state senator, state representative, sheriff, clerk of court, tax assessor, coroner and all 12 police jury seats.
On the state level, voters will cast a ballot for governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, treasurer, commissioner of agriculture, commissioner of insurance and Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE).
Qualifying will be held September 4 through 6.
Local offices, including senator and representative, will qualify at the Webster Parish Clerk of Court’s Office. All state offices will qualify with the Louisiana Secretary of State.
The last day to register to vote to be able to cast a ballot in the October election is September 19. Early voting will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily at the courthouse October 8 through 13. Views: 1905
