Arraignments
Carl Cook, pornography involving juveniles, 20 counts – pleaded not guilty, status conference set for Jan. 1, 2008, trial set for June 16

Charles Dillon, issuing worthless checks – pleaded not guilty, trial set for Jan. 4, 2008

Chase Doster, second degree battery – pleaded not guilty, status conference set for March 31, 2008, trial set for July 14

Dustin Farrar, illegal possession of stolen things over $500, passed to November 2

Jonathan Pearce Hawk, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, two counts – pleaded not guilty, status conference set for Jan. 14, 2008; trial set for May 5

Angel Haynes, possession of methadone; possession of oxycodone – passed to be reset

Elysia Jones, second degree battery – pleaded not guilty, status conference set for Jan. 14, 2008, trial set for May 5

Leroy Jones, felony possession of marijuana – passed to November 5

Tammy Denise Lair, falsify prescriptions – pleaded not guilty, status conference set for March 31, 2008, trial set for July 14

Debra Samantha Lewis, felony theft – pleaded not guilty, status conference set for Jan. 7, 2008, trial set for June 16

Tim Edward Morgan, aggravated battery; disturbing the peace – pleaded not guilty, status conference set for Feb. 20, 2008, trial set for August 4

Phil Edward Simmons, illegal possession of stolen things – pleaded not guilty, status conference set for Jan. 14, 2008, trial set for May 8
Nathaniel C. Spurlin, criminal property damage – passed to November 16

Samantha J. Toland, aggravated battery; disturbing the peace by fighting – pleaded not guilt, status conference set for Feb. 20, 2008, trial set for August 4


Angela Walker, distribution of methamphetamine – pleaded not guilty, status conference set for March 24, 2008, trial set for July 14
Faith Michelle White, aggravated battery – passed to October 26 at defendant’s request

Sentencing
William Coderre, driving while intoxicated, third offense – sentenced to serve three years at hard labor, 30 days without benefit of suspension, parole or probation, $2,000 and court costs, with credit for time served

Wesley Brooks Griffith, convicted felon possessing a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon – bench warrant, bond forfeiture, held without bond

Deric Isreal, armed robbery; conspiracy to commit armed robbery – motion to continue on Feb. 20, 2008

For Further Disposition
James Brady Barber, possession of cocaine; possession of schedule IV Xanax; open container; failure to stop/yield – announced ready for trial on November 12

Status Conference
Anton Vonquez Allen, simple burglary; conspiracy to commit simple burglary – announced ready for trial on Feb. 11, 2008

Randall Allison, theft valued over $500; creation of clandestine lab; theft valued over $500 – upset to Feb. 20, 2008 at defendant’s request
Claven Latroy Anderson, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute – further disposition set for November 26

Christopher Craig Bazile, issuing worthless checks, felony, 13 counts – pleaded guilty, sentenced to serve six months in the Webster Parish Jail suspended, $100 and court costs or serve 10 days in jail, two years active supervised probation

Ricky Ray Bradford, driving while under the influence, third offense; careless operation of a motor vehicle; issuing worthless checks; driving under suspension; fail to stop at stop sign – passed to Jan. 2, 2008, trial set for February 11

Artemus Crow, distribution of cocaine, two counts; possession of cocaine – passed to June 2, 2008 at defendant’s request, trial set for August 4

Robert J. Deloach, driving while intoxicated, third offense; possession of schedule IV Xanax – pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated, second offense, sentenced to serve 120 days in the Webster Parish Jail, all but 30 days suspended, $1,000 and court costs or serve 100 days in jail, two years active supervised probation; pleaded guilty to possession of schedule IV Xanax, sentenced to serve two years at hard labor suspended, $1,000 and court costs or serve 100 days in jail; fines to run consecutive, court costs to run concurrent

Bobbie C. Durning, computer solicitation for sexual purposes, four counts; attempted indecent behavior with a juveniles, three counts; obscenity, three counts; pornography involving juveniles – passed to Jan. 2, 2008 at defendant’s request, trial set for February 11
Emmanuel Edwards, second degree murder – trial set for Jan. 2, 2008

Laderrick Edwards, introducing contraband into penal facility; simple possession of marijuana – announced ready for trial on Feb. 11, 2008

Teresia Ferguson, public intimidation – pleaded guilty to resisting an officer, sentenced to serve 15 days in the Webster Parish Jail suspended, $500 and court costs to be paid within 90 days or serve 60 days in jail

Dartevious D. Frazier, simple burglary – pleaded guilty to criminal mischief, sentenced to serve six months in the Webster Parish Jail suspended, $100 and court costs or serve 10 days in jail, $100 restitution, one year active supervised probation

Nathan Wayne Hammett, convicted felon possessing a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon, three counts – announced ready for trial on Feb. 11, 2008

Kenyon Harris, sexual battery – announced ready for trial on November 12

Bridget Mitchell, second degree battery – pleaded guilty to simple battery, sentenced to serve six months in the Webster Parish Jail suspended, $500 and court costs or serve 60 days in jail, two years active supervised probation, $350 restitution, attend anger management
Gwendolyn Monk, simple burglary of a religious building, four counts – announced ready for trial on November 12

Anthony Montgomery, distribution of cocaine, three counts – announced ready for trial on Feb. 11, 2008

Derrick L. Parker, simple burglary; conspiracy to commit burglary; possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; felony theft – announced ready for trial on Feb. 11, 2008

Jobbie Peters, driving while intoxicated, fourth offense; criminal property damage; driving under suspension – pleaded not guilty, status conference set for Jan. 2, 2008, trial set for February 11

Rachel Reeves, attempted possession of cocaine – trial set for Feb. 11, 2008

Quincy Rice, possession with intent to distribute schedule I controlled dangerous substance; possession with intent to distribute schedule II; no seat belt – trial set for Feb. 11, 2008

Terry W. Shelton, possession of oxycodone; possession of hydrocodone; possession of alprazolam; possession of diazepam; review on all charges – review set for March 14

Stephanie Nicole Thomas, simple burglary; conspiracy to commit simple burglary; illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of minors – announced ready for trial on Feb. 11, 2008

Demarcus Deandre Wills, simple burglary; conspiracy to commit simple burglary; felony theft – announced ready for trial on Feb. 11, 2008

Quadrick Wilson, indecent behavior with a juvenile; simple battery – pleaded guilty to indecent behavior with a juvenile, sentenced to serve five years at hard labor suspended, $1,000 and court costs to be paid within six months or serve 100 days in jail, three years active supervised probation, register as sex offender for 15 years, $750 restitution; simple battery charge nolle prosequi

Blaise J. Winn Jr., driving while intoxicated, fourth offense; possession of marijuana, fifth offense; convicted felon possessing a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon – maintain trial date of November 12

Sharleshia Zachary, aggravated second degree battery – announced ready for trial on Feb. 11, 2008

Review
Jodie Brazzel, failure to register as a sex offender – review on Jan. 2, 2008
