Senior righthander Ethan Perot had pitched only five innings before Benton’s District 1-4A baseball game with Woodlawn last week, but it was nine up and nine down for Perot in a perfect game 24-0 victory over the Knights.
Andrew Driggers led Benton at the plate with three hits, while Chancce Nerren and Taylor Bergeron had two hits apiece in the three-inning game. Coach Greg Bryant’s Tigers are 12-10 overall and 4-2 in distrit play going into today’s 5 p.m. home game with Fair Park. Benton hosts Minden Thursday.
